The women who inspired the nameHi! I'm Alex, the artist behind Claire and Lucia.The name refers to two influential women in my early life. Claire Doreen Cunningham was my grandmother, and Lucia Skinner was my piano teacher. Both shared their passions for the arts with me through amazing adventures in my childhood and teenage years. I learned skills around art, life, creativity, cooking, and more from these two. Both encouraged me to develop my own creative process, and instilled in me the drive to constantly try new things. Both passed away when I was a teen, and have left a lasting legacy on my life and on the art that I create.
